0A.1.F8

Fendt 0A.1.F8 – Hydraulics: Y084 - Control pressure increase solenoid valve in Power Beyond mode

Issue description

Actuation fault. The system detects an electrical issue (such as a short circuit to earth, short circuit to +UB, or a break in the wiring) preventing the valve from actuating. Consequently, no control pressure increase is possible in Power Beyond mode.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III / S4)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III / SCR)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III / S4) (e.g., 822, 824, 826, 828)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III / S4 / SCR) (e.g., 919, 922, 924, 925, 927, 930, 933, 936, 939)

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Y084 solenoid valve for chafing, breaks, or melted insulation.

  2. Disconnect the plug at the Y084 valve and check for corrosion, moisture, or bent pins.

  3. Use a multimeter to check for a break in the wiring (continuity test between the ECU output and the valve connector).

  4. Check for a short circuit to ground (earth) or a short circuit to battery voltage (+UB).

  5. Measure the internal resistance of the Y084 solenoid coil to verify it is within the specified OEM range (a dead short or open circuit indicates a failed coil).

  6. Perform a voltage test to verify that the PWM output voltage is reaching the valve when commanded via the Vario terminal.

Repair steps

  1. Preparation

Park the tractor on a level surface, lower all hydraulic implements, turn off the engine, and relieve all hydraulic pressure (including releasing pressure with the trailer brake button if applicable).

  2. Locate the Y084 Valve

Locate the Y084 valve at the rear of the tractor on the rear valve block (detach the rear cover panel to access it) or on the right side of the tractor on the central valve block (requiring removal of the right rear wheel and side panel for access).

  3. Removal

Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the Y084 solenoid, clean the area around the valve to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system, and unscrew and remove the Y084 solenoid valve from the valve block. Have a rag ready to catch residual hydraulic oil.

  4. Installation

Lubricate the O-rings on the new solenoid valve with clean hydraulic oil, thread the new valve into the block and tighten to the specified torque, and reconnect the electrical harness.

  5. Testing

Reinstall any removed panels, start the tractor, allow the oil to reach operating temperature (40-50°C), clear the fault codes via the terminal, and test the Power Beyond function to ensure control pressure increases normally.
