Fendt 0A.1.FD – A050 Basic Control Unit (ECU): Y082 - Solenoid valve, lower link stabiliser, lock

The system has detected that the Y082 solenoid valve is faulty or experiencing an actuation fault, resulting in a 'Fault with locking' where the tractor is unable to lock the lower link stabilizer.

   Test for approximately 12 VDC at the valve connector for 5 seconds when the lower link lateral stabilizer lock is commanded

   Inspect the wiring harness between the A050 ECU and the Y082 valve for breaks, short circuits to ground, or short circuits to battery voltage

   Measure the resistance of the Y082 solenoid coil with a multimeter to identify an open circuit or dead short

   Inspect the spool valve cartridge to see if it is mechanically jammed by debris in the hydraulic fluid

   Preparation

   Safely park the tractor on level ground, lower the front and rear linkages to the ground, turn off the engine, and relieve all hydraulic pressure.

   Locate the Valve

   Detach the rear cover panel to access the Y082 solenoid valve (MVUL - Solenoid valve, lower link stabiliser lock) located on the rear valve block.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the Y082 solenoid valve.

   Remove the Coil/Valve

   If only the coil has failed electrically, remove the retaining nut at the end of the valve stem and slide the old coil off. If the valve is mechanically jammed, clean the area around the port, then unscrew the entire Y082 solenoid valve cartridge from the rear hydraulic block.

   Installation

   Install the new valve cartridge or slide on the new coil. Torque the cartridge and/or retaining nut to Fendt OEM specifications.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical harness and reinstall the rear cover panel.

   Testing

   Start the tractor, test the lower link stabilizer locking function, and use the tractor's terminal or a diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.1.FD fault code from the memory.
