Fendt 0A.1.X1 – Hydraulic / Valve BUS (CAN II): EEPROM inconsistent

The internal memory (EEPROM) of the electronic actuator on the specified spool valve has become corrupted or is failing to read properly. As a safety measure, the affected valve automatically moves to the neutral position and locks, disabling hydraulic operation for that specific circuit.

   Perform a cold start/reboot by turning the tractor off completely and restarting to check for a temporary software glitch

   Inspect the electrical harness and connector at the affected valve for moisture, corrosion, or damaged pins

   Verify that the supply voltage to the valve is within the normal operating range (8V to 18V)

   Verify the integrity of the CAN II bus lines (Pins 4 and 5) at the valve connector

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to attempt a software reset, re-flash the EEPROM, or clear the code

   Depressurize

   Lower all hydraulic implements to the ground. Turn off the engine and cycle the hydraulic controls to relieve any residual pressure in the system.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Remove Harness

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the faulty auxiliary control valve on the rear hydraulic block.

   Dismount Valve

   Remove the mounting bolts securing the faulty spool valve to the main hydraulic valve block assembly. Carefully remove the valve, being prepared to catch residual hydraulic oil.

   Install New Valve

   Clean the mating surface on the valve block. Install the new spool valve, ensuring all new O-rings and seals are properly seated. Torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications.

   Reconnect

   Reconnect the electrical harness and the tractor battery.

   Calibration

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic laptop to perform EOL (End-Of-Line) programming. This calibrates the new valve and registers it with the tractor's CAN bus system so it can be identified.
