Fendt 0A.1.X5 – Tractor Electronic System / Enhanced Control ECU (A002): High overvoltage (> 45V) at auxiliary control valve
Issue description
Indicates a 'High overvoltage (> 45V)' condition at one of the auxiliary control valves (spool valves). As a safety measure, when this overvoltage is detected, the affected valve immediately moves to the neutral position and locks, disabling that specific hydraulic circuit.

Check the cause
Identify the specific valve affected using the exact fault code displayed on the dash.
Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector at the specific spool valve for chafing, melted insulation, or short circuits to a high-voltage source.
Check the Valve CAN BUS to ensure terminating resistors are intact and there is no communication breakdown between the A002 ECU and the valve block.
Verify that the valve slide is not mechanically jamming due to dirt, debris, or highly viscous cold oil, which can cause abnormal electrical loads.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent further electrical damage to the Valve BUS.
Access the Valve Block
Locate the auxiliary hydraulic valve block at the rear of the tractor.
Repair Wiring (If Applicable)
If the diagnostic checks revealed a short circuit in the harness leading to the affected Y-valve, repair the wiring or replace the damaged connector pigtail.
Replace the Spool Valve
If the wiring is intact and the overvoltage is caused by an internal short within the valve's electronic actuator/pilot solenoid, the specific directional control valve must be replaced. Unbolt the faulty slice from the hydraulic block assembly.
Install New Valve
Install the replacement valve slice, ensuring all O-rings are seated correctly. Torque the tie-rod bolts to OEM specifications.
Reassemble and Power Up
Reconnect the electrical harness to the new valve and reconnect the battery.
Clear Codes and Calibrate
Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool (or use the onboard terminal if equipped) to clear the stored 0A.1.X5 fault code. Perform a valve calibration/teach-in procedure so the ECU can learn the new position pickup sensor values.
