Fendt 0A.1.X6 – Hydraulics / Auto-Guide ECU: Final stage error (pilot control solenoid valve)

Indicates a final stage error on one of the auxiliary control valves (spool valves). As a safety measure, the affected valve automatically moves to the neutral position and locks, disabling hydraulic flow for that specific circuit.

   Identify the faulty valve (Y071–Y080) using the tractor terminal or FENDIAS based on the 'X' digit in the fault code.

   Inspect the electrical connector at the specific pilot control solenoid valve for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or moisture ingress.

   Inspect the wiring harness between the Hydraulic ECU and the affected valve for chafing, short circuits to ground, or open circuits.

   Measure the resistance of the pilot control solenoid coil to ensure it is within OEM specifications and not internally shorted or open.

   Perform a swap test by temporarily swapping the electrical connector with an adjacent, known-good spool valve to see if the fault code follows the valve or stays with the wiring.

   Depressurize the System

   Turn off the tractor, lower all hydraulic implements to the ground, and relieve hydraulic pressure by actuating the hydraulic controls in the cab.

   Access the Valve Block

   Locate the rear auxiliary control valve block (or mid-mount block for Y071/Y072).

   Clean the Area

   Thoroughly clean the area around the affected spool valve to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

   Replace the Solenoid/Valve

   If the pilot control solenoid is available as a separate serviceable item, unbolt the faulty solenoid from the valve slice and install the new one. If the solenoid is integrated, replace the entire electronic auxiliary control valve slice. Disconnect the hydraulic lines, remove the tie-rod bolts holding the valve stack together, and carefully slide out the faulty slice. Install the new slice with new O-rings.

   Reassemble and Bleed

   Reconnect all hydraulic lines and electrical connectors. Top up the hydraulic fluid (Fendt Extra Trans 10W-40 or STOU).

   Calibrate

   Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's terminal to clear the fault codes and calibrate the new valve (setting flow rate, acceleration rate, and actuation time).
