Fendt 0A.1.X9 – Basic Control Unit (ECU A050): Valve actuator not in neutral position when switched on.
Issue description
The system detects that the valve remains deflected when the engine is turned on. The most frequent cause is that the valve actuator is mechanically jammed (either the pilot control or the main actuator spool) due to dirt or contamination in the hydraulic system. As a safety measure, the affected valve locks, and the system turns the pilot pressure OFF.

Check the cause
Identify the specific valve using the exact digit in place of 'X' (e.g., Position 1/Yellow, Position 2/Blue).
Inspect the hydraulic fluid for metal shavings, dirt, or degraded oil, which is the primary cause of this mechanical jam.
Attempt to actuate the valve manually or via the terminal to determine if the spool is physically seized or if it moves freely.
Verify that the valve is communicating with the CAN bus to rule out electrical failure (code 0A.1.X0 would indicate communication failure).
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Safely shut down the tractor, lower all implements, and relieve all hydraulic system pressure before opening the hydraulic circuit.
Access the Valve Block
Locate the affected auxiliary control valve block (usually at the rear of the tractor).
Remove and Inspect
Unbolt the electronic actuator head/solenoid from the affected spool valve section. Inspect the pilot control and the main actuator spool for scoring, binding, or debris.
Clean and Flush
If minor debris is found, thoroughly clean the valve components with approved solvent.
Replace Components
If the spool is scored or permanently jammed, the valve section or the electro-hydraulic actuator must be replaced.
Address the Root Cause
Because this failure is caused by contamination, you must drain the contaminated hydraulic fluid, replace the hydraulic pressure and suction filters, and refill the system with clean, OEM-approved hydraulic oil.
Calibrate
Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's terminal to clear the fault codes and perform an End-of-Line (EOL) calibration/Teach-In for the new valve.
