Fendt 0A.1.XA – Hydraulic Control System / Valve BUS (A050 Basic Control Unit ECU): Valve actuator is deflected too far / Valve spool is deflected too far
Issue description
The valve actuator or spool is deflected too far. As a safety consequence, the affected auxiliary control valve automatically moves to the neutral position and locks.
Applies to these machines
12 machines- 922 Vario COM III
- 924 Vario COM III
- 927 Vario COM III
- 930 Vario COM III
- 933 Vario COM III
- 936 Vario COM III
- Fendt 200 V/F/P Vario series
- Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
- Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
- Fendt 700 Vario (COM III)
- Fendt 800 Vario (COM III)
- Fendt 900 Vario (COM III)
Check the cause
Identify the specific valve triggering the code based on the designation (e.g., Y074 is Position 1/Yellow, Y075 is Position 2/Blue, Y076 is Position 3/Red, Y078 is Position 4/Green, Y071 is Position 7/Olive, Y072 is Position 8/Grey)
Check the specific valve actuator to see if it is mechanically jamming or binding, which is a frequent cause for the spool not returning to neutral or deflecting too far
Check the wiring harness and connections on the Valve BUS (referencing Circuit Diagram Sheet 8)
Attempt to recalibrate the hydraulic auxiliary spool valves via the tractor's terminal to see if the linear modules can relearn their end stops
Repair steps
Relieve Hydraulic Pressure
Ensure the engine is off, the implement is lowered, and all hydraulic pressure is relieved from the system before working on the valve block.
Inspect the Actuator
Remove the electronic actuator head from the affected auxiliary control valve (Y071-Y080). Inspect the mechanical spool for scoring, debris, or binding.
Clean or Replace
If the spool is physically jamming due to contamination, clean the valve body. If the electronic actuator itself has failed and is over-driving the spool (or failing to read the position pickup sensor correctly), the actuator or the entire valve section must be replaced.
Reassemble and Reconnect
Install the new or cleaned valve/actuator and reconnect the Valve BUS wiring harness.
Recalibrate
Turn on the tractor and use the terminal to perform the required calibrations. You must run the calibration for the linear modules 1–4 for hydraulic auxiliary spool valves (Calibration codes 1003–1006) and the crossgate lever (Calibration code 1001).
Parts you might need
(1)Electronically actuated auxiliary control valve (Bosch SB 23 LS-EHS 2 or Bosch SB 23 LS-EHS)
Slice-type proportional valves. When ordering a replacement from a Fendt dealer, you must specify the exact position (e.g., Position 1 Yellow, Position 4 Green) as flow rates can vary (standard 100 l/min, with optional 140 l/min available in position 4).
