Fendt 0A.1.XB – Basic Control Unit ECU (A050): Floating position is not reached.

When this fault is triggered, the affected auxiliary control valve moves to the neutral position and locks out for safety. This is frequently caused by the valve actuator falling short of its target position due to brief control pressure dips, highly viscous hydraulic oil at low temperatures, or mechanical jamming of the pilot control/main actuator caused by contamination.

   Verify if the tractor is operating in extremely cold temperatures, which can cause highly viscous hydraulic oil and prevent the actuator from reaching its target.

   Check the hydraulic system for brief control pressure dips that might be starving the pilot control.

   Inspect the hydraulic fluid and filters for contamination or debris that could cause the pilot control or main actuator to mechanically jam.

   Identify the specific valve causing the issue using the 'X' digit in the fault code (e.g., Y074 for Position 1, Y075 for Position 2, Y076 for Position 3, Y078 for Position 4, Y079 for Position 5, Y071 for Position 7, Y072 for Position 8).

   Warm-Up / Fluid Correction

   If operating in cold weather, allow the hydraulic oil to reach operating temperature. If the oil is degraded or of the incorrect viscosity, drain and refill with the approved hydraulic fluid (e.g., Fendt Extra Trans 10W-40 or STOU oil SAE 10W-40/15W-40).

   Clear Debris

   If contamination is found, flush the hydraulic system and replace the hydraulic suction filters.

   Free the Actuator

   Attempt to manually actuate the valve to free any minor mechanical binding.

   Replace the Valve

   If the valve actuator is permanently jammed or the internal pilot control is damaged, the specific auxiliary control valve must be replaced.

   Calibration & Code Clearing

   After replacing a valve or sensor, it must be calibrated via the tractor terminal. Finally, clear the fault codes from the control unit using the SERDIA diagnostic tool or the onboard terminal.
