0A.1.XE

Fendt 0A.1.XE – Auxiliary Control Valve: RAM or FLASH test fault within the auxiliary control valve's integrated electronics

Issue description

The internal controller on the valve slice has failed its memory self-test (RAM/FLASH error). As a safety measure, the affected valve automatically moves to neutral and locks, and the pilot pressure is turned OFF.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 200 V/F/P Vario
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III, S4, SCR)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III, S4, SCR)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III, S4, SCR)

Check the cause

  1. Identify the specific valve using the fault code digit (e.g., 0A.1.1E = Position 1 / Yellow) to locate the exact valve slice on the rear hydraulic block.

  2. Check power and ground: Verify the wiring harness, CAN bus connections, and power supply to the specific valve, as severe voltage drops can sometimes cause memory resets.

  3. Cycle power and clear codes: Attempt to clear the fault code using the tractor terminal or SERDIA diagnostic software and cycle the tractor's ignition. If the code immediately returns, the valve's internal electronics have permanently failed.

Repair steps

  1. Depressurize the System

Turn off the tractor and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the auxiliary hydraulic system.

  2. Disconnect Electronics

Locate the affected valve on the central control block (usually located under the cab/rear axle housing) and disconnect its electrical CAN/power connector.

  3. Remove the Valve

Unbolt the tie rods/anchor bolts holding the hydraulic valve stack together. Carefully remove the faulty valve slice, ensuring you do not lose or damage the O-rings/seals between the slices.

  4. Install the New Valve

Insert the replacement valve slice. Ensure all sealing rings are correctly positioned in their counterbores to prevent leaks. Torque the tie rod bolts to the specified torque (typically 30 Nm for Bosch SB23 systems).

  5. Reconnect and Calibrate

Reconnect the electrical harness. Because the valve is a CAN-bus module, the new valve must be calibrated to the tractor. Use the tractor terminal to perform the linear module calibration (Calibration codes 1003–1006 for hydraulic auxiliary spool valves) or EOL (End of Line) programming.
