0B.1.41

Fendt 0B.1.41 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: A050 - ECU, basic control unit TEACH-IN

Issue description

Internal communication saving or read-out error. This means the control unit is experiencing an internal memory or data transfer failure specifically related to saving or reading data for the 'Teach-In' function (Fendt's Headland Management System).

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III and SCR models)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III and SCR models)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III and SCR models)
  • Fendt 922
  • Fendt 924
  • Fendt 927
  • Fendt 930
  • Fendt 933
  • Fendt 936

Check the cause

  1. Verify if the Teach-In (Headland Management) functionality is restricted or non-operational

  2. Check for accompanying A050 communication faults (e.g., 0B.1.42 or 0B.1.43) which indicate memory/read-out errors between the A050 basic control unit and the Terminal or Multifunction Armrest

  3. Attempt to delete the sequence data and reprogram the Teach-In sequence to see if the memory error is a temporary software glitch or a hard internal EEPROM failure

Repair steps

  1. Connect Diagnostic Tool

Connect the tractor to the FENDIAS diagnostic software.

  2. EOL Programming

A dealer technician must re-flash or reprogram the A050 basic control unit.

  3. Module Repair/Replacement

If EOL programming fails to resolve the issue, the A050 basic control unit has suffered a physical hardware failure (EEPROM/memory fault).

  4. Removal

Disconnect the battery, remove the cab trim panels to access the central electrical area, and extract the A050 basic control unit.

  5. Resolution

Send the A050 unit to a specialized agricultural electronics repair service (such as Ilgenfritz Mechatronics) or install a replacement unit.

  6. Calibration

If a new or repaired A050 module is installed, it must undergo EOL programming and be paired with the tractor's immobilizer (A077) and engine control unit (A051) to function.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • A050 Basic Control Unit (ECU)

Varies by exact tractor model, generation, and chassis number. Requires dealer-level FENDIAS software for EOL programming, immobilizer pairing, and tractor configuration. Alternatively, the original unit can be sent out for board-level repair.
