Fendt 0B.1.43 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit / A039 (or A100) - MFA, multifunction armrest: Saving or read-out error between MFA and TEACH-IN
Issue description
There is a memory, communication, or data-saving failure between the multifunction armrest and the tractor's basic control unit regarding the Teach-In system. The system is unable to properly save or read the automated sequence data programmed by the operator.

Check the cause
Verify CAN Bus Communication: Check for accompanying bus fault codes (e.g., 0B.1.23 or 0B.1.25) which indicate a physical wiring or connector fault rather than a memory error.
Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Check the wiring harnesses and connectors between the A039/A100 Multifunction Armrest and the A050 Basic Control Unit for corrosion, backed-out pins, or chafing.
Adapter Box Testing: Use the Fendt 160-pin adapter box to test the A050 and A039/A100 modules to verify proper power (+supply), ground, and CAN bus integrity.
Clear and Retest: Attempt to delete the Teach-In sequence data from the terminal and see if the error returns when creating a new sequence.
Repair steps
Connect diagnostic software
Connect the tractor to the FENDIAS diagnostic software using the AGCO CANUSB diagnostic interface.
Navigate to programming
Navigate to the programming section for the A050 Basic Control Unit and the A039/A100 Multifunction Armrest.
Perform EOL programming
Perform an EOL (End-Of-Line) programming procedure to re-flash and re-initialize the memory parameters for the Teach-In system.
Evaluate EOL programming results
If the EOL programming fails or the code immediately returns, the internal EEPROM/RAM within the A050 ECU or the A039/A100 armrest has likely failed.
Repair or replace defective module
In the event of a hardware failure, remove the defective module (A050 or A039/A100) and either send it to a specialized agricultural electronics repair facility (such as Ilgenfritz Mechatronics) or replace it with a new OEM unit.
Program new ECU
If a new A050 ECU is installed, it will require a complete EOL programming and calibration of all tractor systems (transmission, suspension, EHR, etc.) via FENDIAS.
