0B.1.B3

Fendt 0B.1.B3 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: No memory available for sequence data or configuration/sequence data do not match.

Issue description

This indicates an issue within the tractor's Teach-In (headland management) system. The memory allocated for storing automated sequence data is either completely full, corrupted, or the saved sequence data is no longer plausible/matching the tractor's current configuration data.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III)
  • 919
  • 922
  • 925
  • 928
  • 931
  • 934
  • 936

Check the cause

  1. Check for related Teach-In initialization or memory error codes, such as 0B.1.B0, 0B.1.B1, or 0B.1.B2

  2. Verify memory status to see if the operator has maxed out the available memory slots for headland management sequences

  3. Note that fault codes stored deep in the A050 Basic Control Unit must be read and deleted using FENDIAS diagnostic software, not just the dashboard buttons

Repair steps

  1. Connect Diagnostic Tool

Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic software to the tractor.

  2. Clear the Memory

Delete the existing Teach-In sequence data from the A050 ECU.

  3. Reprogram Sequences

Manually reprogram/re-record the headland management sequences (Teach-In).

  4. Clear Fault Codes

Clear the 0B.1.B3 fault code from the A050 memory using FENDIAS.

  5. Test Operation

Restart the tractor and test the Teach-In functionality to ensure the code does not return.

  6. EOL Programming / ECU Replacement

If the fault immediately returns and is accompanied by EEPROM checksum errors, the A050 Basic Control Unit's memory chip may be physically failing. The ECU will require an EOL (End of Line) reprogramming flash via FENDIAS. If flashing fails, the A050 ECU must be removed and sent to a specialist for board-level repair or replaced entirely.
