Fendt 0B.2.02 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: A050 - ECU, basic control unit TEACH-IN: Warning message if speed is too high at the start of a sequence.
Issue description
This is an operational warning indicating that the operator is attempting to trigger a recorded Teach-In (headland management) sequence, but the tractor's current ground speed exceeds the maximum allowable threshold to safely or correctly execute the automated steps.
Applies to these machines
11 machines- 922 Vario COM III
- 924 Vario COM III
- 927 Vario COM III
- 930 Vario COM III
- 933 Vario COM III
- 936 Vario COM III
- Fendt 300 Vario (COM III / S4)
- Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
- Fendt 700 Vario (COM III / SCR / S4)
- Fendt 800 Vario (COM III / SCR)
- Fendt 900 Vario (COM III / SCR)
Check the cause
Verify the actual ground speed of the tractor when the operator is pressing the Teach-In sequence button to ensure it meets sequence parameters
Check the tractor's displayed speed on the dash/terminal to verify speed sensor accuracy (if stationary or moving slowly but displaying a high speed, suspect a sensor or calibration issue)
Check if the A050 module is logging other internal communication errors (such as 0B.1.11 or 0B.1.21), which would indicate the A050 module itself is failing
Repair steps
Adjust Operation
Instruct the operator to slow the tractor down to the appropriate speed before initiating the Teach-In sequence.
Clear the Code
Acknowledge and clear the warning message from the terminal. Test the Teach-In sequence at the correct speed to ensure the sequence executes and the code does not return.
Address Sensor Faults
If the tractor's speed reading is erratic, inspect the wiring harness to the speed/radar sensors and replace or recalibrate the sensor as necessary.
Module Replacement
If the A050 Basic Control Unit is physically defective and throwing this code erroneously alongside other A050 failure codes (like loss of rear PTO function), the module must be removed and sent to a specialized agricultural electronics repair facility or replaced.
EOL Programming
If the A050 Basic Control Unit is replaced, End-Of-Line (EOL) programming must be performed using FENDIAS dealer software to configure the new module to the tractor.
