0F.1.2E

Fendt 0F.1.2E – Central Electrical System ECU: Warning (end position timed out). Wiper tries to restart.

Issue description

The system detects that the front wiper motor is failing to reach its designated "park" or end position within the expected time limit. When this timeout occurs, the system automatically attempts to restart the wiper cycle.

Check the cause

  1. Check for mechanical binding: Ensure the wiper arm is not physically jammed, frozen to the glass, or obstructed, preventing it from reaching its end position.

  2. Inspect connector X347 (Cable coupler, M002 - front wiper motor) for corrosion, moisture, or loose connections. On 300 Vario models, also check separation points X284 or X297 in the right A-pillar.

  3. Verify voltage supply to the motor using a multimeter. It should read 12 VDC when the wiper is commanded ON, and 0 VDC when commanded OFF.

  4. Check if fault code 0F.1.2F (A038 - Initialisation error) is also present. If so, the issue may stem from the Central Electrical System ECU rather than the motor itself.

Repair steps

  1. Access the Motor

The M002 front wiper motor is located directly in the front windscreen area.

  2. Remove Panels

Unscrew and remove the interior cover/panel on the windscreen or A-pillar to expose the motor assembly.

  3. Disconnect Wiring

Unplug the X347 cable coupler from the motor. (If working on a 300 Vario, you may need to pull the cable with the blind plug out of the cab roof/A-pillar).

  4. Remove the Motor

Unbolt the wiper arm from the exterior, then unbolt the wiper motor assembly from its mounting bracket on the glass/cab frame.

  5. Install the New Motor

Mount the replacement motor and secure the bolts. Reattach the exterior wiper arm.

  6. Reconnect

Plug the X347 electrical connector back into the new motor.

  7. Reassemble and Clear

Reinstall the interior plastic covers. Use the tractor's diagnostic terminal to clear the stored 0F.1.2E fault code and test the wiper to ensure it sweeps and parks correctly.
