1.1.01

Fendt 1.1.01 – EDC / EMR: B038 or B055 - EDC / EMR foot throttle rotary position sensor (yellow), combi-sensor

Issue description

The system has detected that the signal from the accelerator pedal position sensor is either too high, too low, or missing entirely for longer than 2000 milliseconds (2 seconds).

Check the cause

  1. Check Fuse 26 and verify the 8.5V power supply to the sensor

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the pedal position sensor (B038/B055) and the EDC Control Module (A021) for discontinuities, short circuits, or damaged pins

  3. Check the sensor voltage using an adaptor box at the EDC Control Module A021 (Pin B23, Connector X048). Idle position should be 0.3 - 0.6 V; full power position should be 4.0 - 4.5 V

  4. Inspect the mechanical linkage between the foot pedal and the rotary sensor for wear, binding, or misalignment

  5. Verify if the sensor has drifted out of its calibrated range (a deviation greater than 400 RPM between requested and actual values can trigger this code)

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect battery

Turn the ignition "OFF" and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

  2. Locate sensor

Locate the B038/B055 foot throttle rotary position sensor (marked with a yellow identifier) on the accelerator pedal assembly.

  3. Inspect and clean connector

Disconnect the sensor's electrical connector and inspect for corrosion or pushed-out pins. Clean or repair the connector if necessary.

  4. Adjust mechanical linkage

Attempt to adjust the mechanical linkage between the pedal and the sensor to bring the voltage back into the specified range (0.3V - 0.6V at idle).

  5. Replace sensor

If adjustment is not feasible, or if the sensor has an internal open/short circuit, remove the mounting hardware and replace the rotary position sensor.

  6. Reconnect electrical harness

Reconnect the electrical harness and restore battery power.

  7. Perform sensor calibration

Perform the sensor calibration procedure using the tractor's terminal or diagnostic tool. The calibration code for the foot throttle sensor is 4005.

  8. Clear codes and test drive

Clear the fault codes and test drive the tractor to ensure full throttle response is restored and the code does not return.
