Fendt 1.1.A0 – EDC (Electronic Diesel Control) Control Module: EDC control module — cannot be identified, EOL programming error
Issue description
The tractor's main management system cannot identify the engine control unit, or the End of Line (EOL) programming data within the module is incorrect, missing, or corrupted. The system detects that the programmed engine model does not match the entered tractor model, causing the tractor to enter a restricted operating mode where engine torque/power is severely limited.

Check the cause
Verify the voltage supply to the EDC control module (A021) and check the fuses on the main circuit board (A013) that supply the CAN-bus and the EDC.
Inspect the CAN-bus wiring harness and connectors between the EST enhanced control module (A002) and the EDC control module (A021) for continuity, shorts, or corrosion.
Connect FENDIAS or Serdia diagnostic software to the diagnostic port to verify if the EDC module communicates.
Repair steps
Attempt EOL Reprogramming
Connect the FENDIAS or Serdia diagnostic tool.
Navigate to EOL menu
Navigate to the EOL (End of Line) programming menu.
Flash ECU
Flash the ECU with the correct data record that matches the exact tractor model and engine configuration.
Clear codes and test
Clear the fault codes. Cycle the ignition and test the tractor to see if full torque is restored and the code stays clear.
Replace module
If the EDC control module refuses to accept the EOL programming, fails to communicate entirely, or drops the programming again after a power cycle, the internal memory (EEPROM) has failed. The EDC control module must be replaced.
Program new module
Install the new module and perform the EOL programming procedure to marry the new ECU to the tractor.
