1.1.B0

Fendt 1.1.B0 – ECU (Enhanced Control Unit): CAN-bus communication restricted

Issue description

Data transfer over the tractor's Controller Area Network (CAN) bus has been interrupted, corrupted, or limited, preventing normal communication between the tractor's control modules.

Applies to these machines

  • 409 Vario
  • 410 Vario
  • 411 Vario
  • 412 Vario
  • 711 Vario
  • 712 Vario
  • 714 Vario
  • 715 Vario
  • 716 Vario
  • 717 Vario
  • 718 Vario
  • 916 Vario
  • 920 Vario
  • 924 Vario
  • 926 Vario
  • 930 Vario
  • Fendt Farmer 400 Vario
  • Fendt Favorit 700 Vario
  • Fendt Favorit 900 Vario
  • Fendt 300, 400, 700, 800, and 900 Vario series (including COM III generation models)

Check the cause

  1. Check CAN-bus Voltage Supply: Verify the power supply for the CAN bus at the main fuse board (circuit board A013). Check fuses F039, F040, F041, F046, and F047, as blown fuses here will drop CAN communication.

  2. Inspect Wiring Harnesses: Check the CAN connection wiring between the enhanced control ECU and the transmission/comfort bus for breaks, corrosion, or loose pins.

  3. Check Battery Voltage: Ensure the tractor has stable system voltage, as low voltage can trigger false CAN communication restrictions.

Repair steps

  1. Connect diagnostics

Connect the FENDIAS (Fendt Diagnostic System) tool or SERDIA diagnostics to the tractor's diagnostic port.

  2. Establish communication

    Establish communication with the ECU/EDC.

  3. Perform EOL reprogramming

    Perform an EOL (End-of-Line) reprogramming.

  4. Load new data record

If the existing software is corrupted, you will need to load a new data record (flash the ECU).

  5. Verify repair

Clear the fault codes and cycle the key (ignition OFF/ON) to verify that CAN-bus communication has been restored.
