1.2.03

Fendt 1.2.03 – A051 - ECU, Engine Control Unit (EDC 7): B092 - Sensor, charge air pressure/temperature fault

Issue description

The fault indicates a cable break or short circuit in the charge air temperature circuit, or that the charge air temperature is above the setpoint value. The engine control unit will enforce a 'Reduced power' state to protect the engine.

Applies to these machines

  • 411 Vario COM III
  • 412 Vario COM III
  • 413 Vario COM III
  • 414 Vario COM III
  • 415 Vario COM III
  • 712 Vario COM III

  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III / S4 / Gen6)

Check the cause

  1. Use the SERDIA or Fendias diagnostic tool to read out the specific KWP code (associated FC codes are 0095, 0096).

  2. Locate the B092 combi-sensor on the front of the engine (Separation point X1661).

  3. Check the 4-pin connector wiring (refer to wiring diagram Sheet 36) for a cable break or short circuit. Pinout: Pin 1 (Ground), Pin 2 (Signal temperature), Pin 3 (Supply), Pin 4 (Signal pressure).

  4. Turn the ignition on and verify sensor operation. If the wiring is intact but the sensor is not reporting correctly to the ECU, the sensor has failed.

Repair steps

  1. Locate sensor

Turn off the tractor and locate the B092 sensor on the front of the engine.

  2. Disconnect harness

Disconnect the 4-pin harness at separation point X1661.

  3. Inspect and repair wiring

Inspect the harness and connector for corrosion, chafing, or broken wires. Repair or replace the connection cable if damage is found.

  4. Replace sensor

If the wiring tests good, remove the faulty B092 charge air pressure/temperature sensor and install the replacement.

  5. Reconnect harness

    Reconnect the 4-pin harness.

  6. Connect diagnostic tool

Connect the SERDIA / Fendias diagnostic tool to the tractor.

  7. Clear fault codes

Clear the stored fault codes (FC:0095, 0096) from the engine control unit memory. Note: The documentation explicitly states that 1.2.xx errors must be manually deleted in the engine control unit following error correction with SERDIA.
