Fendt 1.2.07 – A022 - ECU, EMR: Boost pressure signal error

The B053 sensor (Charge air temperature / boost pressure sensor) signal is out of range. The engine control unit defaults to using a substitute value to calculate fuel injection quantity, causing the tractor to enter a restricted operating mode with reduced engine output.

   Check the B053 sensor cable connection for a broken wire, loose connector, or short circuit

   Read out the KWP code using the SERDIA or Fendias diagnostic software to confirm the exact parameters of the out-of-range signal

   Clean the radiator and check coolant levels to ensure the sensor isn't reacting to an actual extreme overheating event

   Locate sensor

   Locate the B053 Charge air temperature / boost pressure sensor on the engine intake/charge air piping.

   Inspect sensor pins

   Disconnect the sensor and inspect the pins for corrosion or damage.

   Test wiring harness

   Test the wiring harness back to the A022 EMR ECU for continuity and shorts.

   Repair wiring

   If the wiring harness is damaged, repair the connection.

   Replace sensor

   If the wiring and connections are intact, the sensor itself has failed internally. Replace the B053 sensor.

   Clear fault codes

   Connect the SERDIA / Fendias diagnostic tool and clear the fault codes from the EMR memory.

   Verify repair

   Run the engine to verify that full tractor output is restored and the code does not return.
