1.2.0A

Fendt 1.2.0A – EDC / EMR: B035 - Sensor, hand throttle

Issue description

A break in the wiring, a short circuit, or an implausible signal (too high or too low) coming from the idle/hand throttle sensor. A faulty 8.5 V supply can also trigger this fault, causing the tractor to enter a restricted operating mode.

Applies to these machines

  • 411 Vario COM III
  • 412 Vario COM III
  • 413 Vario COM III
  • 414 Vario COM III
  • 415 Vario COM III
  • 712 Vario COM III
  • 714 Vario COM III
  • 716 Vario COM III
  • 718 Vario COM III
  • 818 Vario COM III
  • 820 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III) / Farmer 400
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III) / Favorit 700
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III) / Favorit 900

Check the cause

  1. Read sub-codes using the SERDIA diagnostic tool to identify the specific internal error (often listed as FC: 008A).

  2. Check the 8.5 V power supply to the sensor, specifically verifying Fuse 26 which protects this circuit.

  3. Inspect wiring and connectors for a break or short circuit between the B035 sensor and the EDC/EMR. Pay special attention to separation points (e.g., connector X183 on the right mudguard on 300 Vario models).

  4. Test the sensor signal using a multimeter to verify if the potentiometer is outputting a smooth, plausible voltage sweep when the hand throttle is moved.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.

  2. Access the Sensor

Locate the B035 hand throttle sensor inside the right-hand control console in the cab.

  3. Remove the Console

Carefully remove the control console cover panels to expose the internal switches and potentiometers.

  4. Remove the Faulty Sensor

Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the B035 hand throttle sensor. Unbolt or unclip the sensor from the throttle lever mechanism.

  5. Install the New Sensor

Mount the replacement OEM sensor into the console and reconnect the wiring harness.

  6. Reassembly

Reinstall the control console panels and reconnect the battery.

  7. Clear Codes and Calibrate

Connect the SERDIA diagnostic tool to clear the 1.2.0A (FC: 008A) fault code. Test the hand throttle to ensure the engine RPM responds correctly and the code does not return.
