Issue description
Travel speed above setpoint range, signal fault (Internal Fault Code: FC:00E8). The engine control unit is receiving an implausible or out-of-range speed request signal, often triggered by a communication error on the CAN bus, incorrect End-of-Line (EOL) programming, or a direct fault originating from the driver's torque/load request via the foot throttle sensor.

Check the cause
Check for related fault codes regarding the B055 Foot Throttle Sensor (e.g., 1.2.14 / FC:000C, 000E, 000F) which could indicate a broken wire or short circuit.
Inspect the wiring harness and CAN bus connections between the A002 (Enhanced Control Module), A050 (Basic Control Unit), and A051 (Engine Control Unit).
Test the dual potentiometers on the B055 foot throttle sensor, ensuring the 5.0 VDC supply and ground pins are intact.
Connect the Fendt SERDIA diagnostic tool to read live data and attempt to delete the error (FC:00E8).
Repair steps
Clear the Code
Connect the SERDIA diagnostic software and clear fault code FC:00E8. Test drive the tractor to see if the code returns.
Resolve Throttle Sensor Issues
If the code returns alongside B055 faults, inspect the wiring diagram (e.g., Sheet 21 or 35 depending on the model). Repair any breaks or shorts in the wiring harness leading to the foot pedal. Replace the B055 sensor if the internal potentiometers have failed.
Reprogram the ECU
If the wiring and sensors are intact, the A051 ECU may have corrupted software (wrong EOL programming). Use the diagnostic tool to perform EOL (End of Line) reprogramming with a new data record.
Replace/Repair the ECU
If the A051 EDC 7 unit cannot be reprogrammed, has internal hardware damage, or fails to communicate on the CAN bus, the ECU must be removed and either sent to a specialized agricultural electronics repair center or replaced entirely.
