Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness and separation point connector X1679 for corrosion, backed-out pins, or damage.

  2. Test voltage at the Y006 connector (Pin 3 / +supply): Ignition OFF should be 0 VDC, Ignition ON ~14 VDC, Engine Running (Brake not activated) ~2.8 VDC, and Actuation ~14 VDC.

  3. Read out the KWP code using the SERDIA / Fendias diagnostic software to confirm the fault (often associated with FC:004A).

Repair steps

  1. Locate the Y006 Solenoid Valve

On 300/400 Vario models: It is located on the right side of the tractor on the engine bulkhead (open the bonnet to access). On larger/enhanced hydraulic models: It is located on the right side of the tractor on the valve block for the enhanced control hydraulics (remove the right rear wheel and metal guard to access).

  2. Disconnect Electrics

Disconnect the X1679 electrical connector from the Y006 solenoid valve.

  3. Remove the Valve

Unbolt and remove the faulty engine brake solenoid valve from the hydraulic/pneumatic circuit.

  4. Install the New Valve

Install the genuine Fendt replacement valve and torque the mounting hardware to OEM specifications. Always replace the lock nut if applicable.

  5. Reassembly

Reconnect the X1679 electrical connector. Reinstall the metal guard and the right rear wheel (if removed).

  6. Clear Codes

Connect the SERDIA / Fendias diagnostic tool and delete the error code (FC:004A) from the system.
