Fendt 1.2.31 – A022 - ECU, EMR2: Coolant temperature warning threshold exceeded

The engine coolant temperature has surpassed the safe warning threshold and remained too high after a built-in delay period, causing the system to automatically reduce engine output/power.

   Check the engine coolant level to ensure the system is not starved of fluid

   Inspect the radiator for dirt, debris, or blockages that would restrict airflow

   Check the B048 water temperature sensor and its cable connection for breaks, corrosion, or a signal out of range

   Connect SERDIA diagnostics to monitor the live temperature readings from the B048 sensor

   Clean the Radiator

   Thoroughly clean the radiator and cooling package to restore proper airflow and cooling capacity.

   Top Up Coolant

   If the coolant level is low, fill it to the recommended specification and check for leaks.

   Inspect the Harness

   Trace the wiring from the A022 ECU to the B048 sensor. Repair any damaged wires or clean corroded connector pins.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the radiator is clean, the coolant level is full, the wiring is intact, and the fault persists (or SERDIA shows the sensor signal is out of range), replace the B048 water temperature sensor.
