   Visually inspect the radiator and charge air cooler (intercooler) for dirt, debris, or blockages that would cause charge air temperatures to spike.

   Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector at the B053 sensor for corrosion, broken wires, or loose pins.

   Check the sensor values to see if the A022 ECU is using a substitute value.

   Connect the SERDIA diagnostic software to read live data from the B053 sensor and confirm if the temperature reading is genuinely high or if the sensor is outputting an out-of-range signal.

   Clean the Radiator

   Blow out the cooling packages thoroughly to ensure proper airflow.

   Repair Wiring

   If diagnostic checks reveal a short or break in the wiring to the B053 sensor, repair the harness or replace the connector plug.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the radiator is clean, the wiring is intact, and the SERDIA tool shows erratic or pegged temperature readings, remove and replace the B053 charge air temperature/boost pressure sensor.

   Clear Codes

   Use the SERDIA diagnostic tool to clear the passive errors in the EMR2 error memory and verify that the fault does not return upon engine startup.
