Fendt 1.2.52 – A022 - ECU EMR2: A022, Y035 - ECU EMR2, EMR actuator ('Rotary magnet and position sensor') — Feedback fault from position sensor (reference coil)
Issue description
The ECU is receiving an incorrect, missing, or faulty feedback signal from the position sensor (reference coil) located inside the EMR actuator (Y035). Because the ECU cannot verify the position of the fuel control rod, the system triggers an emergency shutoff, and the engine will not start.

Check the cause
Use the SERDIA diagnostic software program to test the Y035 EMR actuator directly
Check the wiring harness running from the Y035 actuator to the A022 EMR2 ECU for breaks, corrosion, or short circuits
Verify the voltage supply and condition of the A022 ECU EMR2
Repair steps
Connect the SERDIA diagnostic interface to the tractor and read the live data from the EMR2 system to verify the position sensor feedback.
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the wiring harness at both the Y035 EMR actuator and the A022 EMR2 ECU.
Test the wiring harness for continuity and ensure there are no shorts to ground or power.
If the wiring is damaged, repair or replace the harness.
Replace the entire Y035 EMR actuator.
If the wiring is intact, the internal position sensor (reference coil) inside the actuator has failed. The sensor is situated together with the rotation magnets inside the actuator housing, meaning the entire actuator must be replaced.
Replace or reprogram the A022 EMR2 ECU with a motor-specific data set.
If replacing the actuator does not clear the fault, the fault may lie within the A022 EMR2 ECU itself.
Clear the fault codes using the SERDIA program and attempt to start the engine to confirm the repair.
