Check the cause

  1. Connect the Fendt SERDIA diagnostic software to confirm the presence of active fault code 1.2.62 (Internal Failure Code / FC: 0027)

  2. Check the wiring harness and connectors leading from the EDC 7 ECU to the cylinder 2 fuel injector for cable breaks, short circuits to the battery, or shorts to ground

  3. Test the cylinder 2 fuel injector for proper electrical resistance and mechanical operation

  4. Verify that the fuel rail pressure is within the target range, as rail pressure issues can sometimes trigger misfire codes

  5. If wiring and injector test fine, verify the EDC 7 ECU for an internal circuit failure (loss of injector control)

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery before working on the engine wiring or fuel system.

  2. Repair Wiring

If a short or break was found during the diagnostic phase, repair or replace the affected section of the injector wiring harness.

  3. Replace Injector

If the cylinder 2 injector failed testing, depressurize the fuel system, remove the high-pressure fuel lines, and extract the faulty injector. Install the new injector with new seating washers and O-rings.

  4. ECU Repair/Replacement (If necessary)

If the fault is traced to the A051 ECU, the Bosch EDC7UC31 unit must be removed. It will either need to be sent to a specialist for internal component repair or replaced with a donor unit. Note: A replacement ECU must be cloned or undergo EOL (End of Line) programming using the SERDIA tool to match the tractor's immobilizer and parameters.

  5. Clear Codes

Reconnect the battery. The fault code will not clear itself automatically. You must use the SERDIA diagnostic software to delete the error from the A051 memory.
