Check the cause

  1. Use SERDIA diagnostic software to read fault (FC:001B) and attempt to delete the error

  2. Verify the electrical connection between the A051 Engine ECU and the cylinder 4 injector

  3. Test the cylinder 4 injector for mechanical or electrical failure

Repair steps

  1. Connect the SERDIA diagnostic tool

Confirm the presence of fault FC:001B.

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors

Check the wiring harness and connectors between the EDC 7 engine control unit (A051) and the cylinder 4 fuel injector.

  3. Replace the cylinder 4 fuel injector

Replace the injector if the wiring is intact but the injection period remains outside the setpoint range or absent.

  4. Delete the error code

Use the SERDIA tool to delete the error code from the system once the physical repair is complete.
