Fendt 1.2.7C – A051 - ECU, engine control unit (EDC 7): Short circuit or break in wiring to injector valve 1
Issue description
The engine control system has detected an electrical fault—either an open circuit (broken wire) or a short circuit—in the circuit responsible for firing the fuel injector on cylinder 1.

Check the cause
Connect the SERDIA diagnostic tool to verify the active fault code (FC: 009F or 00A0).
Locate the A051 EDC 7 control unit and Injector Valve 1 (Y095) on the flywheel side of the engine.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the A051 ECU and measure resistance between Pin 4 (Injector 1, 2, 3 high) and Pin 13 (Injector 1 low). The specified resistance is exactly 0.5 ohms.
If resistance is out of specification, inspect the physical wiring harness between the ECU and the Y095 injector for chafing, pinched wires, or disconnected plugs.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the tractor's battery before performing electrical repairs.
Isolate the Fault
Based on the resistance test, determine if the fault lies in the wiring harness or the injector itself. If the wiring is damaged: Repair the broken/shorted wires in the harness or replace the engine wiring harness section leading to injector 1. If the wiring tests good but resistance is incorrect: The Y095 injector valve has failed internally and must be replaced.
Reassembly
Reconnect the injector plug and the A051 ECU connectors. Reconnect the battery.
Clear Codes
Connect the SERDIA diagnostic software and execute the 'delete error' command to clear the fault from the A051 ECU memory.
Verification
Start the engine and verify that it runs smoothly without logging the 1.2.7C code again.
Parts you might need
(2)Fuel Injector
Required if the injector fails the 0.5-ohm resistance test.
Engine Wiring Harness / Injector Pigtail
Required if the diagnostic tests reveal a physical break or short in the wiring.
