1.2.83

Fendt 1.2.83 – ECU EMR2: Reference voltage 1 for Y035 actuator out of allowed range

Issue description

This fault indicates a voltage irregularity in the circuit for the Y035 EMR actuator. The reference voltage has fallen outside the permissible limits, prompting the system to use a substitute value of 5 VDC.

Check the cause

  1. Monitor the current to see if the error message disappears automatically, which indicates the current has returned to the normal range

  2. Check the voltage supply directly to the ECU EMR2

  3. Inspect the wiring harness running from the Y035 actuator to the ECU for shorts, breaks, or corrosion

  4. Run Deutz SERDIA diagnostics to test the Y035 EMR actuator's feedback and control travel

Repair steps

  1. Test voltage supply

Test the voltage supply to the ECU EMR2 to ensure it is receiving proper power.

  2. Inspect and repair wiring

Inspect and repair any damaged wiring between the Y035 actuator and the ECU.

  3. Cycle ignition

Switch the tractor's ignition OFF, wait a moment, and then switch it back ON.

  4. Replace ECU EMR2

If the error code reappears after the power cycle and wiring checks, replace the ECU EMR2.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • ECU EMR2 (Engine Control Unit)

Primary replacement target if the fault persists after an ignition cycle.

  • Y035 EMR Actuator

May require replacement if SERDIA diagnostics point to a physical failure of the actuator coil rather than the ECU.
