Check the cause

  1. Allow the module to cool down so the internal temperature drops back into the normal operating range

  2. Cycle the ignition OFF, wait a moment, and then switch it back ON

  3. Check SERDIA Diagnostics and refer to Chapter 2000 Reg. B - EMR troubleshooting plan if further diagnosis is needed

Repair steps

  1. Ensure the tractor has cooled down and the ambient temperature around the ECU is normal.

  2. Switch the ignition OFF, then ON.

  3. If the error reappears despite the temperature being in the normal range, the internal temperature sensor or the board itself has failed.

  4. Replace the ECU EMR2.

When replacing an EMR2 ECU, the old data record must be saved and flashed/loaded onto the new control unit using the SERDIA diagnostic tool.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Engine Control Unit (ECU) EMR2

Specific Fendt/AGCO part numbers vary heavily depending on the exact tractor model and chassis serial number. Look up the exact EMR2 controller module in the AGCO/Fendt EPC using the tractor's VIN/Chassis number.
