1.2.87 (DEUTZ EMR)

Fendt 1.2.87 (DEUTZ EMR) – Deutz ECU EMR2: Atmospheric pressure sensor in ECU EMR2 is faulty

Issue description

The atmospheric pressure sensor is an internal component built directly into the engine control unit. The system will log this error message, but it is designed to disappear automatically if the pressure reading returns to the normal operating range.

Check the cause

  1. Cycle the Ignition: Switch the tractor's ignition OFF, wait a moment, and then switch it back ON.

  2. Monitor the Dash: Check if the error re-appears. If the code clears and does not return, no further action is required.

Repair steps

  1. Replace the ECU

The entire ECU EMR2 must be replaced because the atmospheric pressure sensor is integrated internally and cannot be serviced independently.

  2. Data Transfer

Use the Deutz SERDIA diagnostic software to download the specific engine dataset (hex file) from the old control unit.

  3. Flash the New ECU

Transfer the dataset 1:1 to the new control unit.

  4. Labeling

Place a sticker with the new Deutz Part Number (found in the SERDIA software after programming) on or near the new ECU.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Deutz EMR2 Engine Control Unit (ECU)

Varies strictly by engine serial number. Order using the tractor's specific Deutz engine serial number.
