Fendt 1.2.A2 – EDC Control Module (A021): K021 - Relay 'solenoid valve shut-off' (EDC) — Engine stop via relay K021

Relay time delay error where the engine stop via the pump relay (K021) is not possible. The system detects that the relay is not functioning correctly to shut off the solenoid valve. The tractor will enter a restricted operating mode with full power fuel flow reduced by 25-40% and maximum engine speed reduced to 1900 RPM.

   Check the bevel pinion speed sensor signal (if speed displays 0 km/h while moving and ignition is OFF, a false delay time error occurs).

   Record the failure and ambient parameters using the FENDIAS diagnostic program.

   Clear the failure code memory using the EDC Diagnostic Program or FENDIAS.

   Run the tractor and retest with the diagnostic program to verify if the engine speed drops below 300 RPM within 10 seconds.

   Analyze and delete failure codes

   Analyze and delete the failure codes. In the case of multiple codes, first perform the test procedures that do not request the replacement of the Control Module or the pump.

   Replace the EDC Control Module

   If the 1.2.A2 failure persists after clearing the memory and retesting, replace the EDC Control Module (A021).

   Record parameters and delete failure code memory

   After replacing the EDC Control Module, record parameters and delete the failure code memory again with FENDIAS.

   Replace the Injection Pump

   Check the system again. If the failure still persists, replace the Injection Pump (VP44 / A020).
