Fendt 10.1.31 – Overall system/tractor: M015 - Servomotor, top air valve non-operable
Issue description
The servomotor controlling the top/middle air distribution flap in the cab's HVAC system is non-operable, preventing the operator from controlling the direction of the airflow to the upper cab vents.

Check the cause
Test the internal motor resistance of the disconnected M015 actuator using a multimeter (specification is approximately 47.2 ohms).
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the M015 servomotor for chafing, corrosion, or loose pins.
Check the physical air flap/door inside the HVAC box for mechanical binding caused by debris or warped plastic.
Repair steps
Access the HVAC Unit
Remove the necessary cab roof panels or headliner trim to access the ventilation assembly.
Locate M015
Identify the M015 servomotor, which is mounted on the exterior of the air box controlling the top/middle air flap linkage.
Disconnect and Remove
Unplug the electrical connector from the actuator. Remove the retaining screws holding the actuator to the HVAC housing.
Verify Flap Movement
Before installing the new part, manually turn the air flap shaft by hand to ensure it moves smoothly without binding.
Install New Actuator
Align the new servomotor with the flap linkage/shaft and secure it with the mounting screws.
Reassembly and Clearing Codes
Reconnect the electrical harness. Reinstall the cab roof/headliner panels. Turn on the tractor ignition, navigate to the fault memory in the Vario terminal, and clear the stored 10.1.31 code. Test the HVAC system to ensure air properly diverts to the top vents.
