Fendt 10.1.32 – A038 - ECU, Central Electrical System: M016 - Servomotor, bottom air valve

Function non-operable. This code indicates a failure in the HVAC system's bottom air valve servomotor (actuator). The system has detected that the motor responsible for opening and closing the bottom air flap is not functioning, which will prevent proper air distribution in the cab.

   Measure the resistance of the M016 servomotor across the pins at the X1547 connector (should be approximately 49.1 ohms)

   Command the vent flap to open (F20 on the diagnostic terminal) and measure Pin 18 at the X1547 connector; it should receive 12 VDC

   Command the vent flap to close (F15 on the diagnostic terminal) and measure Pin 20 at the X1547 connector; it should receive 12 VDC

   Check the current draw while the flap is actuating using a multimeter; it should pull approximately 16 mADC

   Locate the Component

   The M016 servomotor and its X1547 connector are located inside the cab, specifically inside the air box situated just before the steering column.

   Access the Air Box

   Remove the exterior panels/trim surrounding the steering column to access the HVAC air box.

   Remove the Cover

   Take off the air box cover to expose the flap servomotors.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the X1547 electrical separation point from the M016 servomotor.

   Replace

   Unbolt the faulty servomotor from the blend door linkage and install the new unit.

   Reassemble

   Reconnect the X1547 plug, reinstall the air box cover, and secure the steering column trim.

   Clear Codes

   Turn the ignition ON, access the Varioterminal diagnostics menu, and clear the stored 10.1.32 fault code. Test the HVAC system to ensure air routes correctly to the bottom vents.
