Fendt 10.1.3E – A053: A/C High/Low-Pressure Switch Malfunction
Issue description
Fault code 10.1.3E indicates a malfunction associated with component S035, the high-pressure/low-pressure switch for the air conditioning system. This safety switch monitors refrigerant pressure and interrupts the circuit to prevent catastrophic A/C compressor damage if the pressure drops too low (e.g., due to a refrigerant leak) or spikes too high (e.g., due to a blockage or condenser fan failure).

Check the cause
Locate the S035 switch at the front of the tractor near the cooler package, mounted on the A/C fluid reservoir (receiver drier).
Inspect wiring and connector X341 for corroded pins, loose connections, or broken wires that could cause a false reading.
Check system pressures using an A/C manifold gauge set. If static pressure is extremely low or zero, check for a refrigerant leak. If the system is fully charged but the switch reads open (no continuity), the switch has failed internally.
Repair steps
Recover refrigerant
If the S035 switch does not have a Schrader valve underneath it, recover the R134a refrigerant using an approved A/C recovery machine.
Disconnect electricals
Unplug the wiring harness at connector X341.
Remove the switch
Unscrew the faulty S035 high/low-pressure switch from the receiver drier. It is highly recommended to replace the entire receiver drier assembly whenever the A/C system is opened.
Install the new part
Thread the new switch (or new receiver drier with switch) into place. Ensure any required O-rings are lubricated with clean PAG oil before installation.
Evacuate and recharge
Pull a deep vacuum on the A/C system to remove ambient moisture and air. Recharge the system with the exact OEM-specified weight of R134a refrigerant and PAG oil.
Clear codes and test
Use the tractor's terminal or the FENDIAS diagnostic software to clear the 10.1.3E fault code from the ECU memory. Test the A/C system for proper operation.
