Check the cause
Verify the 8.5 VDC power supply to the sensor at the microfuse PCB (A013), fuse 17.
Inspect the wiring harness and the separation point connector X1509 for damage or poor connection.
Check the left front axle on top of the axle suspension for physical damage to the sensor or the steering cylinder protective cover.
Look for secondary codes (e.g., 15.1.6C, 15.1.6D, 15.1.6E) that might indicate a calibration issue rather than a hard failure.
Repair steps
Locate sensor
Locate the B066 sensor on the left front axle, situated on top of the axle suspension.
Detach cover
Detach the left steering cylinder protective cover to access the sensor.
Disconnect wiring
Disconnect the wiring harness at separation point X1509.
Remove sensor
Unbolt and remove the faulty B066 wheel position sensor.
Install sensor
Install the replacement sensor and reconnect the X1509 connector.
Reinstall cover
Reinstall the steering cylinder protective cover.
Calibrate sensor
Calibrate the new position sensor using the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or via the tractor's terminal (Calibration code '7666') to compensate for mechanical and electrical tolerances.
