Fendt 15.1.68 – Front Axle Suspension system: B068 - Sensor, wheel position (right)
Issue description
Signal fault or a faulty sensor on the right wheel position sensor. The system has detected an implausible signal, a complete loss of signal, or a power supply issue to this specific sensor.
Applies to these machines
10 machines- 922 Vario COM III
- 924 Vario COM III
- 927 Vario COM III
- 930 Vario COM III
- 933 Vario COM III
- 936 Vario COM III
- Fendt 900 Vario series (COM III, S4, Gen 7, etc.)
- Fendt 700 Vario series
- Fendt 800 Vario series
- Fendt 300 and 400 Vario series (COM III)
Check the cause
Check the Power Supply: Verify fuse 09 on the A013 module, which provides the dedicated 8.5V power supply to the B068 sensor.
Inspect the Wiring Harness: Check the wiring and the connector at the right wheel position sensor for physical damage, moisture, corrosion, or loose pins.
Test Voltage: Using a multimeter, verify that the 8.5V supply voltage is reaching the sensor connector.
Inspect Mechanical Linkages: Check the small mechanical linkage rods connected to the sensor for damage, bending, or excessive play that could cause the sensor to read out of bounds.
Check for Related Codes: Look for code 15.1.67 (left wheel position sensor B066). If both are present, it highly suggests a shared wiring or power supply issue rather than a dual sensor failure.
Repair steps
Park and support tractor
Safely park the tractor on level ground, turn off the engine, and support the front axle if necessary.
Locate sensor
Locate the right wheel position sensor (B068) on the right side of the front axle suspension/steering assembly.
Inspect connector and power supply
Disconnect the electrical connector and inspect it. If the 8.5V power supply is missing, trace the wiring back to A013 (fuse 09) and repair the break or replace the fuse.
Disconnect mechanical linkage
If power is present and the wiring is intact, the sensor itself has failed. Disconnect the mechanical linkage rod attached to the sensor arm.
Remove faulty sensor
Unbolt and remove the faulty B068 sensor.
Install new sensor
Install the new sensor, secure the mounting bolts, and reattach the mechanical linkage rod.
Reconnect harness
Reconnect the electrical harness.
Calibrate sensor
The new sensor must be calibrated to compensate for mechanical and electrical tolerances. Access the tractor's terminal/diagnostic menu and perform the wheel position/suspension sensor calibration routine.
Clear codes and test drive
Clear the stored fault codes and test drive the tractor to verify that the front axle suspension and VarioGuide systems operate correctly.
