Fendt 15.1.6B – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Y067 - Lock suspension solenoid valve

Solenoid valve faulty, Actuation fault. This indicates an electrical issue in the circuit controlling the front axle suspension lock valve. The system has detected an anomaly such as a break in the wiring, a short circuit, or a failed solenoid coil.

   Check operating conditions to ensure testing is valid (the A050 ECU will only energize the Y067 lock suspension solenoid valve at speeds below 20 km/h)

   Inspect the wiring harness between the A050 ECU and the Y067 solenoid valve for chafed wires, breaks, or corrosion at the connectors

   Verify the ground connection for the valve, specifically checking Earth pin 22 for the Y067 circuit

   Disconnect the Y067 solenoid and measure the resistance across the coil pins with a multimeter (an open circuit or dead short indicates a burned-out coil)

   Back-probe the connector and command the suspension lock function from the cab to verify that the A050 ECU is delivering 12 VDC to the valve

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on level ground, lower all implements, turn off the engine, and apply the parking brake.

   Relieve Pressure

   Relieve hydraulic pressure in the front axle suspension system to prevent fluid injection or sudden chassis dropping.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the front axle suspension valve block. Identify the Y067 Lock suspension solenoid valve (often grouped with Y064 lowering and Y065 raising valves).

   Disconnect Electrics

   Unplug the electrical harness connector from the Y067 solenoid coil.

   Coil Replacement (If applicable)

   If only the electrical coil has failed, remove the retaining nut at the end of the valve stem, slide the old coil off, and install the new one.

   Valve Replacement (If applicable)

   If the cartridge itself is mechanically stuck or damaged, unscrew the valve cartridge from the hydraulic block. Have a catch pan ready for minor hydraulic oil spillage. Install the new valve cartridge and torque to OEM specifications.

   Reassembly

   Slide the coil onto the new valve, secure the retaining nut, and plug in the electrical connector.

   Clear Codes & Test

   Turn the ignition on, clear the 15.1.6B fault code via the tractor's terminal or FENDIAS/SERDIA diagnostic software, and test the suspension lock function (remembering to stay under 20 km/h). Check for hydraulic leaks.
