15.1.6C

Fendt 15.1.6C – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Front axle suspension position sensors not calibrated

Issue description

Fault code 15.1.6C indicates that the front axle suspension position sensors—specifically B066 (left wheel position sensor) and B068 (right wheel position sensor)—are not calibrated. These sensors continuously monitor the position and movement of the front wheels to manage the tractor's front axle suspension and Fendt Stability Control (FSC) systems.

Applies to these machines

  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III

Check the cause

  1. Verify the 8.5 V power supply to the sensors (Left sensor B066: check A013, fuse 17; Right sensor B068: check A013, fuse 09)

  2. Verify the signal voltage falls within the expected range of 0.6 V to 4.2 V (4 to 20 mA) depending on the suspension position

  3. Inspect the wiring harnesses for the left and right wheel position sensors for continuity, shorts, or physical damage (refer to OEM circuit diagram Sheet 9)

Repair steps

  1. Access Vario diagnostics

Turn on the tractor and access the Vario diagnostics menu on the terminal.

  2. Enter Calibration Code

Enter Calibration Code "7666". This specific code initiates the calibration procedure for the front axle suspension position sensors.

  3. Complete calibration

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the calibration. This compensates for any mechanical and electrical tolerances in the sensors.

  4. Clear fault code

Clear the fault code from the memory.

  5. Test suspension system

Test the suspension system (using the "Raise" and "Lower" suspension buttons on the multifunction armrest) to ensure the fault does not return.

  6. Replace sensor if calibration fails

If the calibration fails or the system throws a subsequent plausibility/signal error (such as codes 15.1.67, 15.1.68, or 15.1.6E), the sensor itself is likely faulty and must be replaced. If replaced, you must rerun calibration code 7666.
