Issue description

The basic control unit has detected corrupted data, a memory fault, or a parameter mismatch specifically related to the front axle suspension system. The front axle suspension will typically cease to function, and the tractor may enter a restricted operating or emergency mode.

Check the cause

Repair steps

  1. Connect Diagnostic Tool

    Connect the AGCO/Fendt FENDIAS diagnostic interface to the tractor.

  2. Perform EOL Programming

    The official factory remedy for fault 15.1.6D is EOL (End-Of-Line) programming. You must re-flash or rewrite the suspension parameters to the A050 Basic Control Unit to correct the checksum mismatch.

  3. Calibrate Suspension

    After successful EOL programming, recalibrate the front axle suspension position sensors.

  4. Hardware Repair/Replacement

    If the FENDIAS tool cannot communicate with the A050 ECU, or if the EOL programming repeatedly fails to clear the checksum error, the internal memory (EEPROM) of the ECU is likely physically damaged.

  5. Remove the ECU

    Disconnect the battery, unplug the wiring harnesses from the A050 module, and unbolt it from its mounting location.

  6. Install/Program New ECU

    If replacing the unit, the new A050 ECU must undergo EOL programming and immobilizer teach-in before the tractor will start and operate correctly. Alternatively, the defective unit can be sent to an agricultural electronics specialist for board-level repair.
