Fendt 18.1.1C – Overall system/tractor (Main Tractor ECU / Central Electronics Box): B067 - Sensor, steering angle
Issue description
Invalid calibration values for the steering angle sensor in the EEPROM. This means the stored parameters for the steering angle's center position or end stops are missing, corrupted, or out of plausible range.
Applies to these machines
11 machines- 922 Vario COM III
- 924 Vario COM III
- 927 Vario COM III
- 930 Vario COM III
- 933 Vario COM III
- 936 Vario COM III
- Fendt 300 Vario
- Fendt 400 Vario (Farmer)
- Fendt 700 Vario (Favorit / SCR)
- Fendt 800 Vario
- Fendt 900 Vario (922, 924, 927, 930, 933, 936, 939)
Check the cause
Attempt recalibration of the steering angle sensor via the tractor terminal using Calibration Code 2401 or 2403
Verify the voltage supply to the sensor (check the 8.5 V supply at A013, fuse 16, or the 12 V supply at A013, fuse 29, depending on the model)
Check for excessive mechanical play in the steering axle or universal joint, ensuring all mechanical linkages are tight
Review calibration errors for specific sub-errors (e.g., 'Calibration taking too long' or plausibility errors) to confirm if the sensor is physically failing to read the sweep
Repair steps
Inspect Wiring
Locate the B067 steering angle sensor on the front steering axle. Inspect the wiring harness and connector for damage, corrosion, or a signal fault (referencing circuit diagram Sheet 9).
Replace the Sensor
If the wiring is intact, the fuses are good, and calibration repeatedly fails, the sensor itself is faulty. Remove the mounting hardware and disconnect the sensor from the axle universal joint. Install the new OEM steering angle sensor.
Perform Mandatory Calibration
A new sensor will immediately trigger fault 18.1.1C until it is calibrated. Enter the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu and input Calibration Code 2401.
Sweep the Axle
Follow the on-screen prompts to steer the axle to the left stop, right stop, and center position so the ECU can write the new valid values to the EEPROM.
Clear Codes
Once calibration is successful, clear the stored fault codes from the terminal.
