Fendt 18.1.30 – A050 - Basic control unit ECU (EXT): Y087 - Steering valve block, Autoguide: Unknown error from steering valve

The tractor's system is receiving an unrecognized or invalid signal from the Y087 Auto-Guide (or VarioGuide) steering valve block.

   Inspect the wiring harness of the position sensor on the Y087 steering valve for broken wires or short circuits.

   Check supply voltage to ensure the steering valve is receiving the correct voltage, looking for voltage drops or spikes.

   Check the calibration status of the valve, as it may have lost its calibration values.

   Center the steering

   Ensure the front wheels are exactly straight. Release the handbrake and drive the tractor slowly forward to perfectly align the wheels.

   Secure the tractor

   Stop the tractor and apply the handbrake.

   Clear the code

   Acknowledge and clear the active 18.1.30 fault code from the terminal.

   Enter calibration mode

   Access the tractor's diagnostic terminal and enter calibration code 2403 (Autoguide steering valve).

   Start calibration

   Initiate the calibration process. WARNING: The front wheels may move slightly to the left and right automatically during this process. CRITICAL: Do not touch the steering wheel, and do not leave the driver's seat (the seat switch must remain engaged or the calibration will fail).

   Save settings

   Wait for the terminal to display "OK", indicating the new settings for the Y087 valve have been saved.

   Power cycle

   Turn the ignition key to the "0" (OFF) position. You must wait at least 15 seconds before turning the ignition back on to ensure the EEPROM permanently stores the new values.
