Fendt 18.1.4C – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: A050 - ECU, basic control unit
Issue description
Invalid settings (BSAC) for the controller in the EEPROM. This indicates an internal memory error where the stored parameters or settings within the control unit's EEPROM have become corrupted or are recognized as invalid.

Check the cause
Verify if the fault is currently active via the multiple display terminal and attempt to clear the fault memory in the A007 Instrument panel.
Check for accompanying CAN bus faults (e.g., EDC or terminal bus faults) that might indicate a wiring harness issue or voltage drop rather than an internal EEPROM failure.
Verify the A050 ECU power supply is receiving proper voltage (12 to 14 VDC) and has a clean ground connection to rule out voltage spikes or drops causing memory corruption.
Repair steps
Connect Diagnostic Tool
Connect a laptop with the official FENDIAS diagnostic software to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Perform EOL Programming
Perform EOL (End of Line) programming to re-flash the basic control unit and rewrite the correct factory parameters and calibration settings to the EEPROM.
Re-calibrate Systems
After EOL programming, re-teach specific tractor functions (like transmission calibration or suspension settings) depending on what data was lost.
Module Repair/Replacement
If the FENDIAS software cannot communicate with the A050 ECU, or if the EOL programming fails to write to the EEPROM (indicating physical hardware failure), remove the A050 Basic Control Unit and either send it to a specialized agricultural electronics repair facility or replace it entirely.
