Check the cause
Check the wiring of the position/flow sensor on the Y087 steering valve block for obvious breaks, chafing, or short circuits.
Check the electrical supply line to the steering valve to ensure it is receiving proper voltage.
Inspect the separation points/connectors on the Y087 valve (e.g., connectors X1588 and X1589) for corrosion, moisture, or bent pins.
Repair steps
Access the Valve
The Y087 steering valve block is typically located on the right side of the transmission. To access it properly, you may need to remove the right rear wheel and the side panel.
Repair Wiring
If a broken wire or short circuit is found in the flow measurement circuit during the diagnostic phase, repair the wiring harness or replace the damaged connector.
Replace Component
If the wiring harness tests good, the internal position/flow sensor has failed. Depending on the exact valve revision, the sensor may not be serviceable separately, requiring the replacement of the Y087 steering valve block.
Calibration
If the steering valve block is replaced, the new valve must be calibrated to the tractor. Enter the Fendt terminal and perform the steering valve calibration procedure using Calibration code "2403".
