Fendt 1E.1.02 – A051 - ECU, engine control unit (EDC 7): Charge air pressure/temperature sensor (B092) outside target range

The charge air (boost) pressure is outside the target/setpoint range, typically due to a cable break or short circuit in the sensor's wiring, causing the tractor to enter a 'Reduced power' (limp) mode.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector going to the B092 sensor for continuity, cable breaks, or short circuits.

   Verify mechanical boost pressure by checking the turbocharger and intake system for massive boost leaks.

   Connect the SERDIA (Deutz) or FENDIAS diagnostic tool to read internal sub-codes (FC:0020 and FC:0021).

   Locate the Sensor

   Find the B092 Charge Air Pressure/Temperature sensor, which is mounted on the engine's intake manifold.

   Inspect and Test the Circuit

   Disconnect the sensor and use a multimeter to test the wiring back to the A051 Engine Control Unit (EDC 7). Refer to the specific Fendt circuit diagram for your model (often listed as Sheet 22 or Sheet 36 in the service manuals).

   Repair Wiring

   If a short or break is found in the harness, repair the damaged section of the wiring.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the wiring tests good and mechanical boost pressure is verified, the B092 sensor itself has failed internally and must be replaced.

   Clear Faults

   After the repair, you must use the SERDIA diagnostic software to clear the fault from the engine control unit's memory.

   Test Drive

   Operate the tractor under load to ensure the 'Reduced power' condition is resolved and the boost pressure reads within the target range.
