Fendt 1E.1.03 – ECU: B092 - Sensor, charge air pressure/temperature

Fault code 1E.1.03 indicates a cable break, short circuit, or out-of-range reading (exceeding target setpoint) in the charge air temperature sensor (B092) circuit. When active, the engine control unit (EDC 7) places the engine into a protection mode, resulting in reduced power and performance.

   Read out the KWP code using the SERDIA or FENDIAS diagnostic software to confirm the active fault.

   Inspect the wiring diagram (Sheet 22 or 36) for the B092 sensor circuit. Look for a cable break, chafing, or a short circuit in the harness leading to the sensor.

   Check the 4-pin connector (Pin 1: Ground, Pin 2: Signal temperature, Pin 3: Supply, Pin 4: Signal pressure). Ensure the pins are clean, tight, and free of corrosion.

   Verify cooling system integrity. Ensure the charge air cooler (intercooler) is not blocked by debris and that the engine cooling system is functioning properly, as genuine over-temperature can trigger this code.

   Locate the B092 Sensor

   Find the sensor on the front of the engine or directly on the intake manifold/charge air pipe.

   Repair Wiring

   If a short or break was found during the diagnostic phase, repair the wiring harness and replace the connector pigtail if necessary.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the wiring is intact and the charge air cooler is clear, the sensor itself has likely failed internally. Disconnect the 4-pin harness, unthread the old B092 sensor, and install the new replacement part.

4. 4

   Clear the Fault Code

   Manually delete the 1E.1.xx series error in the engine control unit following the physical repair using the SERDIA diagnostic tool. The tractor may remain in derate until the code is cleared.
