Fendt 1E.1.08 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / EDC 7: B087 - Fuel low pressure sensor

Fuel low pressure has fallen outside the setpoint range, or there is a cable break/short circuit in the sensor's wiring.

   Check the fuel system for air ingress in the low-pressure fuel lines, which causes pressure drops.

   Inspect the fuel filter for clogs or heavy restrictions, a primary mechanical cause for low fuel pressure.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the B087 sensor for continuity, cable breaks, or short circuits to ground/power.

   Locate the B087 Sensor

   On the Fendt 300 Vario, it is located on the bottom of the fuel filter (requires removing a metal panel to access). On the Fendt 400 Vario, it is located on the right side of the engine, directly on the fuel filter housing.

   Service the Fuel System

   Drain the water separator and replace the fuel filter element if it has not been serviced recently.

   Bleed the System

   Bleed the low-pressure fuel system to ensure all trapped air is removed.

   Test the Sensor

   If the filter is clean, the system is bled, and the wiring harness tests good for continuity back to the EDC 7, the B087 sensor itself has likely failed internally and must be replaced.

   Clear the Fault

   After replacing the sensor or fixing the wiring, use the SERDIA or FENDIAS diagnostic software to clear the stored fault codes (associated KWP/SERDIA codes for this fault are FC: 005A, 005B, and 005E).
