Fendt 1E.1.0E – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / EDC 7 or EDC 17: Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Fault

Fault with the Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (B090, B093) indicating a cable break or short circuit in the sensor's wiring harness, or engine oil pressure reading outside of the target/setpoint range (too low or implausible).

   Check engine oil level and condition to ensure it is not critically low, overfilled, or thinned out by fuel.

   Inspect the engine oil filter to verify it is not clogged, which can cause a legitimate low-pressure drop.

   Inspect the B090 sensor wiring and separation point connector (X1659) for cable breaks, corrosion, or short circuits.

   Verify the sensor is receiving the correct 5V reference voltage from the ECU.

   Perform a manual lubrication pressure test using a mechanical gauge to confirm if the engine has actual low oil pressure or if the sensor is sending a false reading.

   Relieve Engine Load

   If the tractor is running, reduce the engine load immediately, bring it to idle, and shut it down.

   Locate the Sensor

   Find the B090 engine oil pressure sensor. On many Vario models, it is located on the bottom left of the oil filter housing (you may need to remove a metal side panel to access it).

   Disconnect the Harness

   Unplug the electrical connector from the sensor.

   Remove the Sensor

   Carefully unscrew the faulty B090 oil pressure sensor from the housing. Have a rag ready to catch any residual oil.

   Install the New Sensor

   Thread the new OEM sensor into the housing. Do not over-tighten; use moderate torque and ensure any required thread sealant (compatible with oil systems) is applied if it doesn't come pre-applied.

   Reconnect and Top Up

   Reconnect the wiring harness. Check the engine oil dipstick and top up any oil lost during the replacement.

   Clear the Fault Code

   Connect the tractor to the SERDIA or FENDIAS diagnostic software and clear the stored fault codes (FC: 00C4, 00C5, 00C6, 00C7) from the EDC memory.

   Test Run

   Start the engine and verify that the oil pressure warning light goes out and no active codes return. Check the sensor fitting for leaks.
