Fendt 1E.1.14 – A051 - ECU, Engine Control Unit (EDC 7): B055 - Sensor, foot throttle

There is a break in the wiring or a short circuit. The signal from the foot throttle sensor does not match the idle sensor signal, resulting in a plausibility error.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the B055 foot throttle sensor for any obvious breaks, chafing, or short circuits.

   Monitor the voltage signals from both potentiometers in the B055 sensor using a diagnostic tool to ensure they match the expected idle sensor signal when the pedal is at rest.

   Check if the sensor is incorrectly calibrated (e.g., distance between idle and full throttle is less than 12 mA DC or less than 70%, or rotation angle is too great).

   Connect the SERDIA diagnostic tool to read specific failure codes (FC: 000C, 000E, 000F) associated with this fault.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

   Repair Wiring

   If a break or short circuit is found during the diagnostic checks, repair the damaged wiring or replace the affected section of the harness.

   Replace Sensor

   If the wiring is intact but the sensor fails the voltage/plausibility tests, remove the faulty B055 foot throttle sensor and install a new one.

   Calibrate

   After installing a new sensor, you must calibrate the foot pedal. If calibration fails or values cannot be saved to the EEPROM, an EOL (End of Line) reprogramming of the A050 Basic Control Unit ECU may be necessary.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, and use the SERDIA diagnostic software to delete the error codes from the ECU memory.

   Test Operation

   Test the foot throttle and hand throttle to ensure normal operation has been restored and the Tractor Management System (TMS) functions correctly.
