Fendt 1E.1.54 – Diesel Engine ECU (EDC 7): B086 - Rail pressure sensor (Compression test is active)
Issue description
Indicates that a 'Compression test is active' and the system's 'Rail pressure monitoring is deactivated'. The B086 sensor detects the actual fuel pressure in the common rail.

Check the cause
Verify if a technician recently initiated a compression test using the SERDIA diagnostic software
Check the EDC for other active faults (such as 1E.1.52 or 1E.1.53) if the engine is forcing a shutdown
Inspect the 3-pin connector and wiring harness to the B086 sensor for breaks or short circuits if a sensor fault is suspected
Repair steps
Connect diagnostic software
Connect a laptop with the Fendt SERDIA diagnostic software to the tractor.
Access fault memory
Access the Engine Control Unit (EDC 7) fault memory.
Locate internal code
Locate the specific internal fault code FC:00AF (which corresponds to 1E.1.54).
Clear error
Use the SERDIA program to manually delete/clear the error and exit the compression test mode.
Depressurize fuel system
If the B086 sensor is actually faulty and requires replacement: After switching off the diesel engine, you MUST wait at least 30 seconds before starting any work on the high-pressure fuel system to allow the rail pressure to dissipate.
Disconnect sensor
Disconnect the 3-pin electrical connector from the B086 rail pressure sensor.
Remove sensor
Unscrew the faulty sensor from the common rail accumulator.
Install new sensor
Install the new OEM pressure sensor and torque to the manufacturer's specification.
Reconnect wiring
Reconnect the wiring harness.
Verify repair
Use SERDIA to clear any residual fault codes and run the engine to verify there are no fuel leaks and that rail pressure reads normally (400–1600 bar).
